In the Bryansk region of Russia, a bus carrying a children's football team from Belarus came under drone attack. This was reported by the acting governor of the Bryansk region, Yegor Kovalchuk.
According to him, a drone struck a bus carrying a children's football team that was travelling to Gelendzhik for a holiday. Kovalchuk placed responsibility for the incident on the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Media outlets specify that the bus was carrying students of Children's and Youth Sports School No. 2 from Rechytsa.
Russia claims the drones were Ukrainian.
As a result of the attack, a woman accompanying the team was killed. Seven people were injured, including four children. One child is in critical condition, and six others are in moderate condition.
Euroradio called the Rechytsa children's sports school. "We know that something happened, but nothing more than that. Please wait for information from official authorities," — Children's and Youth Sports School No. 2 in Rechytsa currently has no precise information about what happened to its students in the Bryansk region of Russia.
Russia's Investigative Committee states that the bus carried 44 passengers, including 28 young athletes.
