A Russian military man recorded an address to Putin and threatened a new mutiny. In 7 hours, Alexander Lunin's video on Instagram gathered more than 5 million views and 170 thousand likes.

In the address, he demands the opportunity to meet with Putin and speak on a live broadcast, otherwise, the man says: "the army will turn its weapons against the Kremlin". Lunin also claims that officials and representatives of the Russian Ministry of Defense met with him and decided to pass a message to the Russian president through him. Why specifically through him, Lunin does not clarify.

"At this moment, dozens, hundreds, thousands of our soldiers are sitting in zindans [in "pits"], punished by their commanders. They sit, rot, are subjected to torture and violence by the so-called Gestapo. They refused to carry out stupid suicidal orders. They refused to give up their financial resources.

And ultimately they are zeroed out [killed], made missing in action. Vladimir Vladimirovich, pay attention to this, invite me to meet with you", — the man says.

The military man published his address the day after the end of Prigozhin's mutiny (June 23-24, 2023), when a column of Wagner fighters marched on Moscow with demands directed at the leadership of the General Staff and the Ministry of Defense. That mutiny was stopped — apparently due to the role of Lukashenko, who boasted of his involvement and assistance to Putin. Later, leaked recordings of conversations between Lukashenko and Prigozhin emerged, suggesting that he had indeed tried to calm the Wagner leader. That mutiny ended, and on August 23, 2023, Prigozhin died in a plane crash.
