On May 15, during a meeting of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe in Chișinău, an Enlarged Partial Agreement on the establishment of a special tribunal for the crime of aggression against Ukraine was approved on behalf of 37 states. This was reported by the press service of the National Anti-Crisis Management (NAU).
Alexander Lukashenka also falls under the jurisdiction of this tribunal. His name was mentioned in a statement by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.
Head of NAU and Deputy Head of the United Transitional Cabinet Pavel Latushka emphasized that “this is the result of the work carried out by me and the delegation of the Coordination Council in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. During participation in PACE sessions, resolutions were adopted that formed the framework of the special tribunal with jurisdiction that makes it possible to expect Lukashenko to be held accountable.”
The NAU team is now collecting evidence of Lukashenko’s and his accomplices’ involvement in aggression against Ukraine. The evidence will later be transferred to the specially created tribunal.
